A Taste of the World, Right Here in Our Kiwi Home

Our home is a bit of a cultural melting pot, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! It’s a delicious blend of Greek, Italian, English, and a touch of Jamaican rhythm, all seasoned with a sprinkle of Kiwi life.

A Feast for the Senses

Our kitchen is an explosion of flavors! One night we might be feasting on a traditional Greek moussaka, the next a hearty Italian pasta dish, or a Jamaican jerk chicken with a side of rice and peas. We love exploring new recipes and sharing those culinary traditions with our kids.

It’s More Than Just Food

But it’s not just about the food. It’s about celebrating holidays, sharing stories, and learning about different customs. We love putting on music from each of our cultures – a bit of Greek bouzouki one night, a classic Italian love song the next, or some upbeat Jamaican reggae tunes.

Raising Global Citizens

It’s amazing to see our kids growing up with this diverse exposure. They’re learning about the world through our traditions, our food, and even the music we listen to. We’re trying to instill a love of learning, an open mind, and a sense of belonging to a wider world.

Kiwi Connections

Of course, we’re living in New Zealand, so we embrace the Kiwi way of life too. We love the outdoors, the beaches, and the easy-going vibe. It’s all part of the mix.

A Recipe for Harmony

My advice? Don’t be afraid to embrace the world around you. Let your home be a place where different cultures can come together and celebrate. It’s not just about food, it’s about creating a home where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Cheers,

Saugi!
