Sometimes, being a mom is all about the little things. It’s the tiny gestures, the small acts of kindness, that make your heart melt and remind you that you’re doing something right.
The other day, I was cutting some cheese, and my oldest was happily munching on cheese on toast while watching TV. I called over my two-year-old and asked, “Baby, do you want some cheese?”
He said, “Yes, please,” in his adorable baby voice (and trust me, it’s adorable!). But then, he did something that just warmed my heart. He said, “Yanny too!” pointing to his brother.
A Cheese-Sharing Moment
I was like, “Oh my goodness, you want some for your brother too?” He nodded enthusiastically. “Are you sure you want to give one to your brother? He already has some.”
He looked at me with those big, innocent eyes and said, “Bother too, brother too.” I couldn’t resist! I gave him a piece, and without hesitation, he toddled over to his brother and said, “Here you go.”
Sibling Love: It’s the Best
It was such a sweet moment, and I couldn’t help but smile. It’s amazing how naturally these two boys care for each other. Of course, they’re going to fight sometimes – they’re boys, after all! But even in their disagreements, they always look out for each other in their own special way.
Those Little Moments Mean Everything
It’s moments like these, those little everyday acts of love, that make me feel like I’m doing something right as a mom. It makes me realize that I’m creating an environment where they feel safe to be themselves, to be kind, and to love each other.
Cheers,
Saugi!
